Training Plan

Well planned training is an investment. Unlike training based on guesswork which might be excellent but could prove costly if it does not deliver what is really needed.

Recent research* reveals that Companies of all sizes and sectors spend between £250 and £417 per Employee on Training each year, with each Employee receiving 5 training days. Overall that is about £60 per Employee Training day. Add to that the cost of lost working time, and it becomes an important investment that you have to get right.

Good training starts with your Business Plan. To achieve the goals set, what skills and competencies are needed? A TNA (training needs analysis) looks at the skills and competencies already in place and devises a plan to fill the gaps. Large organisations collate personal development plans into a master Training Plan. With a training plan firmly based on your business aims, evaluation of your training investment is straightforward and links to your business results.

You may not have any of these in place. In fact lots of SME businesses do without a formal business plan. But they do have clear business goals in mind, AND they know what skills and abilities their people already have. So planning training is not that difficult, but may need expert  guidance: such help is available here at insight.

Training Programmes

All of our Training Programmes are run with the focus on helping the participants to learn. We know that this is the start point of their development, and ensure that it is a good start. We use well researched learning materials. We design events to use a mix of facilitated experiential learning and accelerated learning techniques with small groups (4 to 6) to maximise learning opportunities and to appeal to adults in a working environment.

On our Competency page you’ll see many of the topics we deliver. In addition to these we also run:

  • Trainer training - any / all aspect of learning, training & development
  • Coaching skills for line Managers and Workplace Mentors
